10 US PGA Tour wins |
Jim Furyk possesses one of the most unorthadox looping swings in the business, but it's won him 10 US PGA tournaments, including a lone Major, the 2001 US Open. But for a wrist injury that needed surgery in 2004, his consistency and solid putting might have given him more victories and although 2005 wasn't kind to him at the Majors - he twice finished 28th, once 34th and once missed the cut - he otherwise bounced back spectacularly to No 7 in the World this year with a victory in the Cialis Western Open, four 2nd place finishes in the Wachovia Championship, the Barclays Classic, the MCI Heritage and the Michelin Championship at Las Vegas and five other top 10 finishes. A solid striker of the ball and a better than average putter, he could be a greater threat in 2006 - a fact clealy underlined by his third-place finish behind Tiger Woods at the Japan Tour's Dunlop Phoenix in November.
