3 US Tour wins |
Adam Scott, now No 8 in the world and possibly the most talented golfer to come out of Australia since Greg Norman, has won twice this year - at the rain-curtailed 36-hole Nissan Open in the US and at the European Tour's Johnnie Walker Classic at Pine Valley Golf Resort and CC in Beijing. It took his total number of wins around the world to eight, which is not too bad for a 25-year-old, but otherwise he's had a workmanlike season rather than a brilliant one and for a young player of his great skill and potential, this 25-year-old Butch Harmon coached prodigy will have been unhappy with his progress in the majors.
His best finish was in the US Open where he tied for 28th after missing the cut in his three previous appearances. He was 33rd in the Masters, 34th at St Andrews and a disappointing 40th at the PGA.
